Travelling in Belitung

In the last blog post, I mentioned that I went for a holiday with my family and we were going to Belitung and Bangka Island. In this blog post I will share about my travel in Belitung Island.

Belitung is a small island on the south side of Sumatra, Indonesia. My family and I went with an airplane for 1 hour from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia.

We stay in BW Suite because it is close to most of the places that we were going to visit in Belitung.

For culinary there are some places that I think worth to visit:
1. Selera Kita Restaurant (Siau Yin)
2. RM Shinta Sari

3. Dynasty Restaurant
4. Yammian Achoi + kue basah

There are also tourist attractions that I think every visitors should see:
1. Tanjung Tinggi Beach

2. Replicate of Sekolah Laskar Pelangi
3. Andrea Hirata's Words Museum

4. Kampoeng Ahok and Ahok's House
5. Five small islands: Pulau Burung, Pulau Pasir, Pulau Lengkuas, Pulau Kepayang, and Pulau Batu Belayar

6. Kaolin Mining Lake

Overall Belitung has a sunny humid weather with some short rains because it is located in the equator line. Most of the tourist attraction located in the beach and has big rocks, so it is important to wear a nice comfortable shoes. Seafoods are mostly serve in all restaurants and if you are going to visit Belitung, you should order the Fish Balls. Three nights four days is an ideal time to stay in Belitung.

Travel Essentials

I often bring too much products when I went for holiday and I ended using only a few of them. This past weeks I just spent a holiday with my family and I wanted to share things that are essential in my hand bag.

Travel Essentials

1. My first essential is my Samsung Note 4, of course, I always bring it wherever I go. It is so important for communicating, take photos and checking social medias. To accompany my phone I bring its headset along with me too.

2. I also bring my Starbucks planner with me to write down schedules, ideas and things that I wanted to put in my blog. Although I have to type what I wrote to my blog, it is less weight than bring my laptop on holiday.

3. This time I went for a beach holiday so I bring my sunglasses, I got this sunglasses from Zara.

4. On holidays, my lips tend to dry out while I'm travelling because of the weather or dehydrated, this lip treatment from Jurlique saves my lips from chapping and really hydrating.

5. I also love to bring snacks when I travel, this Oat Krunch is my current favorite snack.

6. Last but not least I always bring important documents and tickets in my bag.

I hope this blog post will help you when you are deciding to go for a travel and doesn't really sure what to bring along in your hand bag.

December Favorites

Happy New Year to all of you whom celebrate it! I feel like time flies by, it's 2016 already. Today I wanted to share my last month favorites, that I think it looks very Christmasy..

December Favorites

The first product to mention is The Body Shop Frosted Plum Sugar Scrub and Shimmer Lotion. The sugar scrub makes my skin smoother and gentle enough not to irritate my sensitive skin. When I went to parties I use the Frosted Plum Shimmer Lotion because it makes me feel so festive.

For make up, I love to use bold red lips for statement because it was the time when you can wear red lips and still look appropriate. To complement the lips usually I use a neutral color for the eyes, but since it is the holiday season, I pair it with shimmering shadows from Too Faced Loves Sephora palette for my party look. Then I use the Shiseido Eyebrow Compact to frame the eyes.

Too Faced Love Sephora palette

The blush that I use is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure that gives my cheek a natural rosy flush.

Last but not least, to finish my look, I polished my nails with Sephora nail polish in Bloody Satin.

That is it for my December favorites, which I think it also sums up my look on that month. Thank you for reading my blog post and I'm wishing you all a great year ahead!

Products I've Used Up - The Body Shop

I've been using The Body Shop product since my teenage years and I still loving it until now. I like to try varies of products and scents, so here are the products that I purchase and finish up this year. I think I had pretty much product in a year, hahaha..

1. Fuji Green Tea 24 Hour Body Butter
I love the scent of this body butter, it makes me feel very relax and moisturised. Usually I use it before I go to sleep so I'll wake up with a nice soft skin on the next morning.

2. Amazonian Wild Lily Body Lotion
This travel size lotion has a nice floral scent that suits for the spring season. Also it has a perfect size to fit into my bag, so my skin will be moisturise all day long.

3. Loose Powder no 3
I like to use loose powder on my face because it won't clog on my pores and makes me breakout. Actually this shade is darker than my actual skin tone but from last mid year until the beginning of this year I had tan on my skin because I had two beach holiday in a row. After my skin gets lighter, I use this shade on the perimeter of my face, like for shading.

4. Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream
This day cream really does it's job on mattify the skin. It has a gel texture, although it says 'cream', which is nice for an oily skin like mine. I finished this product but I won't purchased it again because I feel like it clogs my pores.

 5. Frosted Cranberry Shower Gel
I bought this shower gel on last year Christmas and I think it really smells like Christmas. I bought it in small red box set, it has this shower gel, bath lily, a heart soap bar, a body butter and a lip balm. This year they sell this cranberry scent again and I bought their sugar scrub.

6. Vineyard Peach Shower Gel
I recall I bought this shower gel on the beginning of this year because I think it smells very energising and very spring/summer appropriate. I like to use it for my morning shower to kick start my day with its smell.

7. Amazonian Wild Lily Shower Gel
Like the body lotion I bought it because of its smell. I think I use a lot of shower gel in a year, because while I use this shower gel and the other two shower gel above, I also use another two shower gel (Atlas Rose and Fuji Green Tea) and used up the Frosted Cranberry soap bar.

8. Tea Tree Oil
This stuff is amazing! I am very agree with The Body Shop when they says it is their best product of the year. If I had a pimple pop on my face, after I clean my face I'll put this on and on the next day it will reduce the redness and the size of it. And also this little bottle last for a long time.

 Tea Tree Oil

9. Seaweed Clarifying Toner
Usually I use a toner from the aesthetician near I live, but when I used it up, I thought I would try another toner that has less chemical in it. Overall I think it is a nice toner for my combination/oily skin, but I don't really impress with it so currently I try another toner for my face.

So that is all the used up products from The Body Shop that I use in this year. I always collect the empty product because for Body Shop members, we can get points when we give back those empty product to The Body Shop stores. Have a benefits for ourselves and also protects the nature.

Christmas Haul

It's nearly Christmas and I'm doing some shopping to get stuff for my Christmas celebration. Mostly are skincare and beauty products, but I also have some fashion items. Also I do this haul in early December so there are some of the things that has been featured in the previous blogposts.

My first destination is Sephora, I buy myself some products that I've run out. I bought an eyeshadow primer and lipstick from Too Faced and a mascara from Lancome. I bought my gel liner from Bobbi Brown store and the Hourglass blush is from my trusty online shop called Mousseux Galerie.

 Make Up

Next destination is The Body Shop store because they sell Christmassy scent in this time of year. I bought a Small Sugar Plum Gift Set, a Cranberry Body Scrub, and Fuji Green Tea Gift Cube.

I then went to Sogo (dept store) to buy my haircare from Phyto and try new skincare line called Jurlique.

Hair Care and Skin Care

I've read good reviews about this skincare product, called Jurlique, and try the sample product, and I decided to try it. I'll have another blog post about my skincare and review about this product.

For fashion items, mostly I bought it from H&M, I think they make a really good deal. I bought a plaid shirt, dress, necklace, earrings and bracelets.

My Everyday Make Up

I wanted to share my everyday make up routine, which include gold eyes and very light base on the skin. I’ve done my skin care routine, at least 10 minutes before I’m doing my make up, for it to sink into my skin.

To start off I prime my lid with Too Faced Shadow Insurance because I have an oily lid.

I use Shiseido Eyebrow Styling Compact to fill my sparse brow and frame my eyes, so it will be easier when applying the shadows.

For eye shadows, I’m using Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. I use the color Half Baked all over my lid. On the crease of my eyes I’m using Snakebite and to further enhance the crease I’m using Busted on my outer corner.

Then I lined and tight line my eyes using Bobbi Brown Long - Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink, because it doesn’t smudge on my eyes.

Next, I prime my lashes using Lancome Cils Booster, and while waiting for it to dry, I mix two concealer to conceal my under eye circle.

The concealers I use are Em the Great Cover Up concealer in Fair Neutral and Make Up For Ever Full Cover concealer in no. 6.

Come back to my lashes, I use Lancome Grandiose smudge proof mascara and curl the lashes using Panasonic Eyelash Curler to curl the lashes all day long.

So that’s eyes done. Move on to my face, on daily basis I use The Body Shop Loose Face Powder in no.2 all over my face.

For blush I use Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure.

To finish my make up, I put on Too Faced La Crème Lipstick in Spice Spice Baby.

That is it for my Everyday Make Up Routine. I hope you find it helpful, thank you for reading, have a nice week ahead :)

November Favorites

Let’s start with skincare! I love that this makeup remover can easily remove waterproof makeup and doesn’t stink my eyes, since I have a very sensitive skin.

Clarins Instant Eye Make-up Remover

Move on to makeup, Too Faced - Chocolate Bar palette has been my go to palette in this month, since  this palette provides neutral to autumn color. It has a sweet chocolaty smells because it is infuse with 100% cocoa powder. And the shadows are very pigmented, buttery and easy to blend.
My favorite color in this palette probably the Marzipan, it is a beautiful champagne color for all over lid that suits for an everyday makeup. For blending or transition shade, my favorite is Milk Chocolate, a cool light brown colourAnd for crease, this is where the autumny colour involves, I use Cherry Cordial, a dark red wine colour.

Dark berry lips, what else to describe my love to autumnal makeup. This Revlon lipstick feels very comfortable to wear all day long, but needs some touch up because of its creamy formula.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick – Iris

Panasonic Eyelash Curler curls my lashes just in seconds and it holds the curls for a whole day, of course supported by the right mascara.

I always love roses, especially in perfume or body product. This Yves Rocher– Moment de Bonheur perfume has a woody rosy scent that makes you feel calm and relax throughout the day.

This limited edition Starbucks cards has a long and epic story to it, probably I’ll write it in another blog post. I put it in this monthly favorite because I often go to Starbucks this month and I love these cards. It has a leaf shape to it, not like the usual rectangular shape cards, and of course the colors!

That's all my favorites in November, wishing you a jolly month ahead.

Love,

Irene
