Everyday Minimal Makeup

I'm in the mood for an easy everyday makeup since I have a lot of work to do lately. I use neutral color eyeshadow and lipstick so I don't have to worry when I'm applying it in a rush. So here's my current daily makeup..

I always start my makeup from the eyes, I fill in my brows with The Faceshop Design My Eyebrow to frame my eyes. Then I use Maybelline Color Tattoo in the shade Bad to the Bronze all over my lid, I use it because I don't have to prime my oily eyelid and it will stay put throughout the day. 

I lined my eyes with Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner and create small wing on the outer corner to make my eyes look bigger. I finish my eye makeup with a coat of Grandiose mascara from Lancome.

Moving on to face, I cover my dark circles with the combination of EM Cosmetics concealer and Make Up For Ever Full Cover concealer. I am lucky enough not having too much redness or blemishes so I just use The Body Shop Loose Powder all over my face. 

To make the face looks fresh and glowing, I use The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in the shade no.3 on the hollow of my cheek and Clinique cheek pop in peach pop on the apple of my cheeks. For lips I use Too Face La Creme Lipstick in Spice Spice Baby for a natural everyday color.

My Skincare Routine

I wanted to share my skincare routine that keeps me away from breakout. As I have share in the previous blogpost, I have an oily and sensitive skin that can easily breakout. This skincare routine may help some of you who has the same skin type, but keep in mind that everybody's skin are varies and my skincare routine may not be suitable for you.

Day 

Morning Skin Care

I have an oily skin, so in the morning I need to cleanse my face from the greasiness throughout the night. I use Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser for combination to oily skin type to cleanse my face. 

After I pat dry my face, I spray Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist to rehydrate my skin and kickstart my day. 

I follow up with Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream for my dry under eye area and Cetaphil SPF 15 Moisturiser for my overall face and neck. 

Then I finish up my routine by applying Jurlique Lip Care Balm to prep my lips before I wear my makeup.


Evening

Evening Skin Care

Usually I don't use makeup on my daily basis, but if I'm wearing makeup, I'll remove my makeup with Clarins Makeup Remover. 

Then I cleanse my face with Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser to remove any remaining makeup or dirt on my face. 

After I cleanse my face I spray it with Jurlique Rosewater Face Mist, follow with The Body Shop Drops of Youth to boost the benefit of my serum, which is Jurlique Rose Serum. 

I always use Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream to moisturise my eye area. At the moment I use Jurlique Calendula Cream for my night time moisturizer, but I think it's too greasy for my skin type, leave a comment if you have night time moisturiser suggestions for oily/sensitive skin. 

Last but not least, I always apply Jurlique Lip Care Balm to keep my lips smooth. 

February Favorites

February Favorites 

I've been loving a simple routine in February and I always reach for EM Love Life Palette that I have placed in the travel palette that comes with it.

My next favorite is Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist, I love the rose scent in it, it refreshes me in the morning and also it can be use throughout the day. I also have a review about this skin care brand in the previous blog post. 

Still in the same brand, I've been loving Jurlique Lip Care Balm to moisturise my lips. I use also reapply it throughout the day before I reapply my lipstick or lipgloss. 

I have dry skin on my body, especially my legs, so I always use moisturiser. I've been loving The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Butter at night and it moisturises my skin for the whole day. 

I love this Lancome Grandiose Mascara because it curls, volumes, and lengthens my lashes. It is also easy to remove because it is not a waterproof mascara. 

Last but not least, I am trying this Lavie Lash type Rosie from my January's Sociolla Box. I like it doesn't have the thick lash band, it feels lightweight and looks like you naturally have long thick lashes. 

My February's Sociolla Box

I wanted to share my thoughts about my monthly subscription beauty box. First of all how cute is that cookie, isn't it. Well here's what I get inside my February's Sociolla Box:

1. Rose Allure

This is an organic based Indonesian product that suitable for dry skin that needs a lot of moisture. But for daily use I'll say this lotion is too greasy. It has a nice spicy rose smell, I think this lotion will be nice to use if you are having a relaxation massage. 

2. Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm

This BB cream has a nice consistency and light coverage. It evens out my skin tone, give hydration and doesn't break my skin. But since I have an oily skin, it gets oily throughout the day especially on my T-zone and get smudge under my eyes.

3. Juara Clove Flower & Turmeric Serum 

This is another Indonesian plant based product in this beauty box. It is a nice product but I don't really like the smell of it. I don't think I'll buy the full size especially with the price tag about Rp. 900.000,00++.

4. Itsy Luxury Nail Wraps

I haven't try this product because I want to wait until my nails grow long enough to use this beautiful pattern nail wraps. 

5. Menard Face Mask

This face mask is my most favorite product in this beauty box. It has a cooling sensation while you are using it, it is very relaxing, which is why in the product direction says use it at night before sleep. The next morning after I use this mask I wake up with smoother texture and my skin looks glowing. 

Product Review : Jurlique

Jurlique is a skincare brand from Australia and they are made from organic ingredients. I found this brand while I'm window shopping at Plaza Indonesia. At that time I only try the tester and haven't decide to buy them because I have a very sensitive skin. I have a combination to oily skin that can easily breakout and rash if I use the wrong skincare.

From the tester, it looks like my skin respond well to the skincare. So I tried the Rosewater Balancing Mist that will give enough hydration to reduce my oiliness. I also buy the Rose Balancing Serum, Calendula Soothing Cream and Lip Care Balm, then I get the Rose Moisturising Lotion in the travel size.

I really love the Rosewater Balancing Mist and Rose Balancing Serum, I think it refreshes me if I feel tired or I feel like my skin looks dull. I also like the Lip Care Balm, it prevent my lips from getting chapped and also doesn't feel sticky. 

For the moisturisers I think they are more suitable for normal to dry skin type because they are really hydrating. For my skin although it doesn't make me breakout but it makes my skin greasy throughout the day. Overall I like this skincare brand because they are organic based so it won't irritate my skin. I like their products especially for their Rosewater Balancing Mist and Lip Care Balm. 

Valentine's Day Look

I think Valentine's Day is the day to celebrate love with persons around you, but if you want to celebrate it with special someone, always remember that he loves you the way you are. So the makeup that you wear should enhance your best feature and look natural. For this year Valentine's Day, I will be using products that I commonly use in my everyday makeup. 

Base

I keep my base pretty simple by using sheer coverage foundation, The Body Shop Moisture Foundation SPF 15, all over my face to even out my skin tone. To cover my under eye circles and blemishes that peeking through, I mix EM The Great Cover Up concealer with Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer. I set everything with The Body Shop Loose Face Powder and use Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure for my blusher. 

Eyes

I think eyes are always the main focus of my makeup. I always primed my eyes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance before apply my eyeshadow. Starting with brows, I fill my brows with Shiseido Eyebrow Styling Compact. For this Valentine's Day I use the EM Love Life Palette for my eyeshadows. For all over lid color I use the shade Vulnerable, on the outer corner I use Mocha Fix, then I use Beige Faith to blend all color to the crease area. I use Bobbi Brown Long - Wear Gel Eyeliner to tightline and create small wing on my outer lashline. Then I apply Lancome Cils Booster on my lashes, curl it with Panasonic Eyelash Curler, follow with two coats of Lancome Grandiose. 

Lips

For lips use neutral color to make your lips kissable. I use Lancome Rouge in Love in number 280N, I think it's a perfect rosy pink for my skin tone.

January Favorites

I think January passed so fast. There are few products that I enjoy in the past month. So here are my January favorites:

1. The Body Shop Drops of Youth

This is the first time I try this product and I immediately fall in love with it. I can see the difference on my skin, especially when I apply it at night, the next morning I can feel my skin getting smoother and supple. 

2. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

I had a very simple makeup routine in January because in December I often wear more complicated makeup for events. This palette provides a lot of neutral colors that I don't have to think a lot to choose which color should I wear on that day. Basically I use the color Snakebite all over my lid, Foxy to highlight my browbone and Blackout on my lashline to make my lashes look fuller. 

3. Dior Addict Lipstick in 751 Exotique

I've been using this lipstick constantly on the past month to complement my neutral eyes. This shade give a pop of color to my overall makeup and make it looks fresh. 

4. The Body Shop Honey Bronzer

This is another product that I've been using to make my makeup looks fresh. I keep my makeup pretty simple but still looks fresh to start the year. 

5. Starbucks Planner

One of my new year's resolution is to get organise. So I get this Starbucks planner, start making checklists and organise my schedule. I admit it isn't as easy as I think, but using this planner makes me more determine to do the tasks and stay on track. 

6. Alarm Clock

This clock also supports me to achieve my goals and making sure I get up early to do the tasks that I've plan before. I love the color and also the shape of it, it also can wobble :D

My First Sociolla Box

I always wanted to have a monthly beauty box and last month I saw that Sociolla made a subscription box. So I feel so excited when I receive it this month!

In the box we'll get 3-4 travel size products and 1 full size product. 

This month products that I got are one pair of Lavie lash, one travel size Cottage Kiwi shower gel, one sample size SPF moisturizer and one full size L'Occitane Almond Hand Cream. 

Inside January's Sociolla Box 

I think it is a good bargain to subscribe this beauty box because sometimes I wanted to try a new product but I feel like I'm wasting my money if I buy the full size product and doesn't like it. Also it introduces me to various brand that I may not know before. I can't wait for the next Sociolla Box to arrive.

Travelling in Belitung

In the last blog post, I mentioned that I went for a holiday with my family and we were going to Belitung and Bangka Island. In this blog post I will share about my travel in Belitung Island. 

Belitung is a small island on the south side of Sumatra, Indonesia. My family and I went with an airplane for 1 hour from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia.

We stay in BW Suite because it is close to most of the places that we were going to visit in Belitung.

Overall Belitung has a sunny humid weather with some short rains because it is located in the equator line. Most of the tourist attraction located in the beach and has big rocks, so it is important to wear a nice comfortable shoes. Seafoods are mostly serve in all restaurants and if you are going to visit Belitung, you should order the Fish Balls. Three nights four days is an ideal time to stay in Belitung. 

Travel Essentials

I often bring too much products when I went for holiday and I ended using only a few of them. This past weeks I just spent a holiday with my family and I wanted to share things that are essential in my hand bag.

Travel Essentials

1. My first essential is my Samsung Note 4, of course, I always bring it wherever I go. It is so important for communicating, take photos and checking social medias. To accompany my phone I bring its headset along with me too.

2. I also bring my Starbucks planner with me to write down schedules, ideas and things that I wanted to put in my blog. Although I have to type what I wrote to my blog, it is less weight than bring my laptop on holiday.

3. This time I went for a beach holiday so I bring my sunglasses, I got this sunglasses from Zara.

4. On holidays, my lips tend to dry out while I'm travelling because of the weather or dehydrated, this lip treatment from Jurlique saves my lips from chapping and really hydrating.

5. I also love to bring snacks when I travel, this Oat Krunch is my current favorite snack.

6. Last but not least I always bring important documents and tickets in my bag.

December Favorites

Happy New Year to all of you whom celebrate it! I feel like time flies by, it's 2016 already. Today I wanted to share my last month favorites, that I think it looks very Christmasy..  

December Favorites

The first product to mention is The Body Shop Frosted Plum Sugar Scrub and Shimmer Lotion. The sugar scrub makes my skin smoother and gentle enough not to irritate my sensitive skin. When I went to parties I use the Frosted Plum Shimmer Lotion because it makes me feel so festive.

For make up, I love to use bold red lips for statement because it was the time when you can wear red lips and still look appropriate. To complement the lips usually I use a neutral color for the eyes, but since it is the holiday season, I pair it with shimmering shadows from Too Faced Loves Sephora palette for my party look. Then I use the Shiseido Eyebrow Compact to frame the eyes.

The blush that I use is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure that gives my cheek a natural rosy flush. 

Last but not least, to finish my look, I polished my nails with Sephora nail polish in Bloody Satin.
